I am starting this ministry to help the homeless. I myself am a lifelong drifter, that started hitchhiking at 14 years old. I am now 59 and to old for that lifestyle. I was first saved as a young child at 8, baptized at 18. While on fire for the Lord in my 20's, I became a lukewarm Christian from the my 30's until a few years ago. After my 22 year marriage ended in 2017, I returned to drifting again. It was during this time the Lord revealed my ministry of helping the homeless. The thing I learned was not every homeless person was a drug addict or a drunk.
Last year I was selling at the flea market and we had way too much rain, seeking a ministry, I went broke. Now homeless, God told me to get rid of everything I had a walk down the road and he will provide and he did. I came to the Pickens County Shelter of Hope, where God fully revealed my ministry. Homeless people need more then a job and a place to live, they also need community, Family and above all A PURPOSE.
